What we can help with
- Questions about how to use a guide, path or template
- Corrections and factual errors — always welcome
- Alternative formats, at no cost
- Permission for classroom, library or tutoring use
- Reading circle and workshop registration
- Volunteering as a mentor, facilitator or accessibility tester
What we cannot help with
We are not able to read or comment on assessed work, mark practice answers, explain subject content, advise on admissions, credit transfer, immigration or professional accreditation, or provide references. Those questions belong with your instructor, your institution’s academic advisers, or its writing centre — all of which know the regulations that actually apply to you.
If you are in distress or facing a personal crisis, please contact your institution’s student services or a local support service. We are a small publishing team and are not equipped to help.
Response times
Figures are the proportion of messages answered within the stated time over the last twelve months. September and January are slower.
The reading room
245 Bloor Street East is a five-minute walk from Sherbourne station and about ten minutes from Bloor–Yonge. The reading room is open to visitors during business hours; there is no need to book, but a note in advance means someone will be expecting you.
By transit
Sherbourne station (Line 2) is a five-minute walk west. The 75 Sherbourne bus stops at Bloor. Bloor–Yonge station is roughly a ten-minute walk.
Access
Step-free entry from Bloor Street, lift access to the sixth floor, and an accessible washroom on the same floor. Assistance animals are welcome. Tell us in advance if you need anything else arranged.
Parking
There is no visitor parking on site. Metered street parking is limited on Bloor; the nearest paid lots are on Jarvis and Mount Pleasant. Transit is usually easier.
